Work with the crew on the Friday before and the Monday after the event to set up various elements of the festival and break down afterwards. This position can be very physical, with long and late hours. Areas could include stage, street, anywhere on site.
Both Saturday and Sunday morning help organize set up of day’s event as needed, and both days stay after to help clean up areas of bottles, garbage, etc
Be at the first booth on the street to hand out information as requested, with a winning smile and personable disposition. This booth is also the designated lost and found centre.
This is the gate to the actual event area and bar. You will either sell tickets or collect tickets purchased online. Must be personable, cheerful and confident to handle cash. It can be busy at times.
You will be selling T-shirts, hats, CDs and other promotional materials. Must be personable, cheerful and confident to handle cash. It can be busy at times.
This position involves the selling of alcohol tickets as well as water/pop tickets. You must be confident in being able to limit or refuse ticket sales related to customer excess and being able to ask for ID when feel necessary, and we ask that you not drink any alcohol while selling tickets.
Working under the Bar Captain. You must practice responsible serving techniques, and limit liability related to customer excess and underage patrons. You must be Smart Serve certified, and we ask that you not drink any alcohol while tending bar.
Maintain and keep clean the trailer used to host artists during their breaks. Involves picking up and setting up of refreshments during both days of the event and maintaining supplies at all times. Must be physically able to carry 20 lbs. Smart Serve certificate if possible.
To tend to the grounds and appearance of all outdoor areas during both days of the event. This work may involve heavy lifting, garbage and recycling.
You will need to fill in wherever assistance is needed, including picking up and delivering, taking over duties for volunteers needing breaks on various stations. You must be flexible, energetic and willing to pitch in wherever and whatever is needed in any area of the festival.
